Larry played fullback on the 1965 football team. He was selected First Team All County, First Team All Buckeye Border Conference and Most Valuable Player. He was the leading scorer in the county and was named Outstanding Senior Athlete. Larry was a four-year varsity basketball player and was selected First Team All County. He led his team in scoring and was selected the Most Valuable Player. In track, Larry was also a four-year varsity performer. He participated in six different events and set school records in all six.
