Monica was a standout in both volleyball and basketball. As a senior, she captained a volleyball team that still holds the school record for victories in a season (16). Monica was named to the All County Team in both junior and senior years. She was named to the Eastern District First Team All-Star squad following her senior season. Monica also achieved high marks in basketball career. As a sophomore, she was elected as the Most Improved Player and Honorable Mention All County. She was First Team All County during both her junior and senior years. She was selected to the First Team District All Star squad following her senior season.
