Year: 1996-97

Ryan was one of the best baseball players to play for Beaver Local. As a freshman, he was a varsity starter and was the leading hitter (.446 average) and the co-MVP. He again won the batting title as a sophomore (.401) and accomplished a “three-peat” by winning it as a junior (.509). Following his junior season, he was named to the all-area team by the Evening Review. The Review also named Ryan “Player of the Year” following his senior season when he again won the batting title with an average of .543. Ryan was named to the River Valley League All-Star Team all four years of this career and was named to the OVAC All-Star Team twice. Ryan also lettered in basketball as a sophomore and a junior.
