Year: 2006-07

Mallory earned seven varsity letters during her career at Beaver Local from 2003-2007, four in basketball and three in volleyball. In volleyball, she led her team in the front row as a middle hitter. Mallory was a part of the 2006 OVAC AAAA championship team and was named player of the year. In basketball, she was a force in the paint averaging 20.3 points per game her senior year, and was the second girl in school history to score over 1,000 points, finishing with 1,085. Mallory still holds the single game school record for most points in a game with 45. Off the court, Mallory maintained a 3.7 GPA, was a member of the National Honor Society, AAU and a variety of school and community organizations.

In basketball, Mallory’s awards included all-county, honorable mention All-Ohio, all-district and all-OVAC.

In volleyball, Mallory received all-county and all-district honors among others.

Mallory is the daughter of the late Mark Yajko and Barbara of East Liverpool. After first attending Tiffin University on a full basketball scholarship, she was sideline with a knee injury. She has since graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education Technology. She resides in East Liverpool with her husband Josh and daughter Teryn, and works for the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.
