PAC picks Thiel’s Phillips as Women’s Golf Rookie of the Week

PAC GOLF WEEKLY RELEASE
GREENVILLE, Pa. – Thiel College freshman Hayley Phillips (Lisbon, Ohio/Beaver Local) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Golf Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.

Phillips carded an 86 at last Wednesday's Saint Vincent Invitational, which took place at Glengarry Golf Links in Latrobe, Pa. Her 86 was good enough to finish fifth in a 28-player field, and it helped the Tomcats finish third at the five-team event with a total score of 426.

Thiel's women's golf team will compete in the first two rounds of the PAC Championships on Oct. 7-8 at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Vienna, Ohio. The final 18 holes of this year's women's championship will be played on April 18 at Chestnut Ridge Golf Course, in Blairsville, Pa.
